On almost every platform, anyone can leave a review. An account created three minutes ago, someone who never joined, a competitor with time on their hands. The result is noise: stars that mean nothing.
On WEMANY, only members on a paid plan can review a community. Nobody pays for a membership to leave a negative review for sport. Every review is, by construction, a verified buyer review: the Amazon Verified Purchase principle, but stricter.
Opinions have to be proven too
The brand's thesis is saying vs. proving. Until now all validation pointed inward: the member proves results to the owner through WeMatch, automatic roles, missions and badges. Reviews close the loop in the other direction: the owner proves quality to the market, to people who have not joined yet.
Reviews are not a separate module. They are WeMatch applied to the owner's reputation.
What we do with them
- They show on the community landing page and in Explore, right at the moment of decision.
- They will be a ranking signal in Explore: the best-rated communities move up.
- When we index landing pages on Google, they will carry review markup so stars show up in search results.
What the owner cannot do
Today the owner cannot edit, hide or delete reviews. That is a deliberate policy: transparency without makeup. What they can do is reply in public, and that reply is also visible to whoever is deciding whether to join.
What to do today
- Turn on at least one paid plan: without it, nobody in your community can review.
- Ask for the review at the right moment: when a structured event ends or a mission closes, not on day one.
- Reply to every review, good or bad. The reply weighs as much as the star.
